Key Highlights: 

  • Student-centric transformation: Fixed grades and rigid pathways are fast disappearing as schools move to custom learning journeys, adaptive curricula, and real-time digital feedback. Student empowerment and autonomy are now at the heart of learning. 

  • Holistic well-being: 66% of parents say holistic development is the most important school philosophy, pushing schools to embed mental health, social-emotional learning, and inclusion. The global SEL market alone is projected to more than double to US$ 4.5B by 2030 (CAGR 18%).

  • Immersive and gamified classrooms: VR, AR, and game-based methods are replacing rote tasks with hands-on, joyful engagement. The gamification market in K12 will skyrocket from US$ 16B in 2025 to US$ 65B in 2030 (CAGR 32%)India’s own Atal Tinkering Labs now reach over 11M students in 10K locations. 

  • Smart and flexible infrastructure: 76% of parents now demand access to libraries and playgrounds, while safe campuses, real-time digital feeds, and collaborative makerspaces are top priorities for schools. 

  • Government investment: India’s public spending on school education is growing at 6.7% CAGR, meeting UNESCO’s benchmark with 4.1% of GDP allocated to education, with policies such as NEP 2020 driving experiential, skill-based, and inclusive reform.
