Context 

A leading K–12 school chain sought Praxis' help to: 

  • Understand total K-12 demand and supply in Nagpur, with a focus on school seats with annual fees above INR 55,000 

  • Benchmark the target school's offerings against competitors and compare enrolment and fee growth across key schools 

  • Gain a clear view of revenue and EBITDA growth potential to support the investment decision 

Approach 

  • Parent survey: Surveyed approximately 300 parents across leading Nagpur schools to understand school selection behaviour and perceptions of the target 

  • Parent interviews: Conducted over five interviews with parents of students enrolled at the target and over ten with parents who chose competitor schools 

  • Principal interviews: Conducted over ten interviews with school principals to understand competitive positioning and enrolment strategies 

  • School benchmarking: Benchmarked leading schools across teaching quality, infrastructure, and key performance parameters 

  • Market sizing: Conducted a market sizing exercise to assess K–12 demand and supply dynamics in Nagpur

Delivered a comprehensive investment intelligence study, sizing the Nagpur K–12 addressable market and projecting addressable demand growth at approximately 2% CAGR, identifying key enrolment drop reasons and competitive vulnerabilities, and benchmarking the target against leading schools.
